Have not been listened to Schumann's symphony for a long time already. last night I revisited his `Rhenish'. Sawallisch's set with Staatskapelle Dresden have achieve legendary status already, this were direct honest performance with a perfect balalnce between romanticism and classicalism, recording was very good too, totally belied its age.
