Generally, it is safety.  The coach driver rides the car prudently.  Many local people as well as foreigner take this coach towards Pattaya.

But, be sure that you buy the ticket from the official counter.  Otherwise, you might be taken by some unauthorized coaches, always soliciting passenger outside the bus terminal, then safety is not secured.
