Munich and Salzburg

I am planning to go to Munich and Salzburg in late May/early June.  Any suggestions as to how long the trainride from Munich and Salzburg will be.  I am planning to spend 5 days in Munich and may be 2 days in Salzburg. If time allows, I may go to Romaina for a few days as well.

Any tips on the route and what are the major attractions?
