got a sudden phone interview last thursday..
i was invited to the group interview on the coming monday morning..
anyone got invited too?
it will last for 3 hours.. so i m wondering what we will do...

searched about the company...
but found some bad info about the international MT role...

"I worked there for 3 months and quit after 50% (4) of the people I had started with also left. I went through a group interiew and did extremely well. I went to a good college, but was interviewing with kids at Stanford, UCLA... So you can imagine my excitement when I got a job offer. So excited, I decided to overlook the lack of hard information about the company online.

My first day started and I could not be more upset when I walked into a room with 10 chairs and 10 phones.

All I can reccommend is that if you decide to do the interview and you do get a offer, ask to do one day in the office to see it.

Also I would ask these specific questions for further insight into their vague "management trainee position"

What are my daily roles?

Could you explain how an average day would go?

Where do I get leads?

If I do get promoted to a manager, how are my duties different?

Can you explain in detail the pay structure (it is extremely confusing)?

With that said, the job did seem to suit some people, however the majority of us left within 3-4 months."


sounds a bit scary for me...

i didn't apply for meltwater cuz it sounds like a sales position, like those so called mt position in insurance firms.
Just go for the interview and see how it goes, good luck=]

she mentioned that post is all about telemarketing, cold call

the interviewer said i have to cold call...
but if i have good performance, the promotion will be very fast (i m not so sure about this point)

cold call... hate it..
but in JIJUS, the expected salary is HK$25,000 per month...
so i wonder if there is something wrong with it..

i will grad in the coming june, if i can't find any other job..
i dun mind cold calling.. with 25k per month (given that the job ad. is right)..
then keep on looking for other jobs..

they can't meet sales target by cold colding

but you shouldn't be worry la, you have so many chances of mt interviews

ppl vanished just due to incapability of meeting sales target , it is not uncommonly found
just a sales position only , easy easy man

it is a sales position and u have to cold call directors. As they provide services which are not very common, so i think it will be very hard to meet target. For a sales position with 25k salary (for fresh graduate), you can expect how difficult it is. Large banks only offer 20k for MT but this newly established company (in 2001) offers 25K. Don't u think a bit unreasonable?

btw~ u must be very brilliant! having so many mt interview at the same time

surprised that u guys found that i have quite a few mt interviews..

well yes, i have many interviews..
but i just can't go to the final rounds...
so having many interviews is just equal to being rejected in the first place..
had many interviews for the last semester, but finally got no offer..
wasted lots of time..
   


for this meltwater.. yes.. 25k means the job would be tough..
n they will have interviews in a hotel... giving me the feeling that their office may not be good or large enough for many ppl..
n i m not targeting sales positions..
so i will just treat it as a 水泡...

Hope u can get this ..as the salary is really quite high..

i also got the phone call from meltwaters...but after doing some kind of research online, I find this company rather dodgy...and there were some bad comments about this company...so I am not really keen on this position

bybyyeah, as u got so many mt interviews, do u mind to share with us your background? u seem to hv set a gd standard on how large companies screen ppl in the first place!

exchange..
some ECA...(competition mainly, mo 上莊)

that's all..

my interview skills really suck..
so i wasted many chances...
so grey...
like this meltwater, i cant go to the final round too..
the comment is that i didn't fully express myself in group interviews...
i think this wil be my fatal weakness for this bad job hunting market la..
but hard to improve it now... ai...
